In 2020, we became parents for the first time, welcoming our baby just as the pandemic erupted.
I, Diana, owned a cozy little coffee house, and suddenly, we faced the daunting task of balancing family and business in an uncertain world. With an 8 month old exploring every corner of our 36 m² space, my husband, Pedro, adapted to remote work for the first time while I kept our coffee shop afloat by serving customers at the door.
Despite the desperation and challenges, giving up wasn’t an option for us. As former high-performance athletes, resilience was in our DNA. This was the moment the idea for O Passo was born. We realized that the world was changing. How we live, work, and connect as families. It took us two years to find the perfect location for our vision. In 2022, we began building O Passo in Paço de Arcos.
“O Passo” means “the step” in Portuguese, symbolizing:

- The step entrepreneurs take to share ideas at our space.
